Author
Dr. Marisol Vega-Okafor is a clinical psychologist, somatic practitioner, and Jungian analyst specializing in shadow integration, attachment repair, and boundary reclamation. The daughter of a Mexican-American mother and a Nigerian-American father, she grew up navigating two cultures that both prized selflessness as the highest feminine virtue — and spent years learning to distinguish between genuine generosity and the self-erasure she had been trained to call love.
Her private practice focuses on high-achievers, clients deconstructing religious conditioning, and anyone who has ever been called “too much” and “not enough” in the same sentence. She writes a newsletter called bad behavior (lowercase, always), believes humor is a legitimate therapeutic tool, and is not interested in making shadow work sound easy, painless, or achievable in a weekend workshop.
